About Scott LIEBERMAN
Dr. Lieberman specializes in failure analysis, microstructural characterization, and processing of metals and composites. He has over a decade of experience conducting investigations for clients in the automotive, aeronautical, marine, energy, oil and gas, electronics, fire protection, green building, consumer products, and medical device industries. He has specific expertise with optical and scanning electron microscopy, metallography, conventional and powder metallurgy, composite materials, fractography, and development of microstructural simulations.
Dr. Lieberman conducts on-site inspections and metallurgical analysis investigations of cast iron and steel pipe failures, fire protection system issues, industrial accidents, and plumbing and HVAC component failures for industrial clients and insurance companies. He has directed and assisted on investigations of a wide variety of consumer products for projects involving production quality control, field return units, litigation, and product recalls.

Scott LIEBERMAN is a Principal Engineer at SOCOTEC and has held various other positions within the organization since 2014. Prior to his current position, Mr.LIEBERMAN was a Principal Engineer at LPI, Inc. which was acquired by SOCOTEC in 2019. Mr. LIEBERMAN was previously employed at Exponent Failure Analysis Associates.
