About Robert VECCHIO
Dr. Vecchio has been with SOCOTEC Engineering, Inc. since 1985, currently as CEO, where he specializes in the fitness-for-service, probabilistic, and risk-based assessment of structures and systems. In addition to day-to-day company management, over the past 40 years, Dr. Vecchio has made significant contributions to the understanding of a wide range of structural and system issues. His responsibilities include remaining life and degradation assessment, fracture mechanics, fatigue, stress corrosion cracking, creep, structural, and root cause failure analyses, as well as oversight of mechanical behavior testing and engineering computer software development and application.
Dr. Vecchio is also an assistant professor at Manhattan College where he teaches a graduate course in fracture mechanics and fatigue analyses.

Robert VECCHIO is the Chief Executive Officer at SOCOTEC Engineering, Inc. and has held various other positions within the organization since 1985. Prior to his current position, Dr. VECCHIO was the Chief Executive Officer at LPI, Inc. which was acquired by SOCOTEC in 2019.
