About Aleksandr BARMAS
Mr. Barmas brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and perspective to his projects. His unique qualifications and experience as design architect, professional engineer and sustainability consultant for the façade industry serve SOCOTEC’s clients well.
Mr. Barmas has served as a façade consultant and represented an international manufacturer on exemplary projects in New York City and around the world in Spain, South Korea, the United Kingdom and Qatar. His expertise lies in architectural geometry, building physics, thermal performance, structural analysis and façade system detailing.
In addition, he has developed project bids, performed system design, and conducted research and development work, including for a fully unitized fire resistive curtainwall system.

Completed under budget and ahead of schedule, this terra cotta and glass tower soars just over 1400 feet tall, the second tallest office tower in NYC at time of completion, and features 4 tapering blocks that interlock and end at different heights and a retail podium at the base. It is pursuing LEED Platinum v3, LEED Gold v4 and WELL Gold certification.
