About Brett McClellan
Mr. McClellan has conducted drone surveys for a number of clients and received his Part 107 UAS Commercial Drone Pilot license from the Federal Aviation Administration. He has logged hundreds of flight hours on numerous geotechnical, material testing, geophysical, and environmental projects. In addition to traditional oblique aerial imagery and HD video, Mr. McClellan processes the drone survey data to create geospatial orthophotos, topographic maps, 3D point cloud and LiDAR formatted models, as well as many other data products in GIS and CAD format.
His GIS and geologic cartography work focuses on producing detailed illustrations and figures; examples include site layouts, geologic maps, cross sections, fence diagrams, and hydrologic and topographic contour schematics. He creates technical visuals to support environmental and engineering efforts; these include groundwater monitoring wells, UST installation and removal plans, remediation system designs, utility and engineering schematics, contaminant plume models, digital elevation models, and GIS integration. Mr. McClellan also develops illustrations for land management and geotechnical models; oil field, mining, and landfill management; watershed and drainage mapping; and three-dimensional conceptual modeling.
