About Matt NOLTON
Matthew (Matt) Nolton is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 30 years of construction and engineering-related experience. He has successfully managed SOCOTEC’s southeast region with 50+ staff members for the past 25 years.
Matt has held an active Florida Certified General Contractor license and PE license for over 30 years. He began his construction and engineering career in Naples, Florida in 1978 and since that time has performed construction/engineering consulting throughout Florida. Over the years, his consulting services have focused on forensic, materials, marine, building sciences, testing, and geotechnical engineering.
He is an experienced expert witness who has assisted numerous clients ranging from homeowners, contractors, and associations to developers, insurance companies, and attorneys. Matt's building sciences consulting has taken him throughout the continental US.

Matt NOLTON is a Senior Principal Engineer at SOCOTEC and has held various other positions within the organization since 1996. Prior to his current position, Mr. NOLTON was CEO, Senior Principal Engineer, and Managing Director at FORGE ENGINEERING, INC which was acquired by SOCOTEC in 2021. Mr. NOLTON was previously employed at N Square, Inc. And Law Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.
