PROJECT DETAILS:

Kalea Bay is a luxury high-rise development located on approximately 67 coastal acres in north Naples. The project consists of:

  • five high-rise condominiums
  • an 88,000 square feet amenity center with a 25,000 square feet clubhouse
  • two restaurants
  • an open-air bar
  • tennis and pickleball courts
  • guest cottages
  • a state of the art fitness center

The towers feature 22 stories, 120 unit structures with rooftop terraces that include an Open Air Fitness Center, Sky Lounge, Negative Edge Pool, and deck area, offering panoramic views of the Gulf.

SOCOTEC has provided Geotechnical Exploration, continuing Construction Materials Testing, and Threshold Services for the project. The structures are founded on a deep auger cast pile foundation system, and consist of:

  • Cast-in-place Pile Caps
  • Columns & Shearwalls
  • Elevated decks of post-tension slabs

This is a fast-paced construction project, with consistent 6-day work weeks. SOCOTEC provided personnel to produce all soils, concrete testing, post-tension observations, and threshold structural observations.
