Independent Monitoring Reporting & Forecasting
Owners rely on multiple sources and types of project information to make critical decisions with respect to construction progress, quality and cost. Projects are rarely reported as being “off the rails” during the design phase through the initial stages of construction. But in our experience, there are often “red flags” that go undetected or under reported that, if identified early, can avoid costly surprises in the later stages of a project.
For every project, our first priority is to assist the project team with independent assessments that our clients apply to make informed decisions about project risks. We collaborate with the project team to ensure that interests are aligned and that achievable execution plans are in place to meet client objectives.
Ideally, clients engage these services from the design development stage through project close-out phases allowing our advisory experts to provide independent evaluation and input thorough-out the duration of the project. We know this because all too often we are engaged to turn-around troubled projects resulting in completion costs two to three times that of the earned value.
The source of SOCOTEC’s value relies not only on the expertise of its construction leaders and subject matter experts, but through the lessons learned from the forensic analyses of thousands of construction dispute resolution cases executed by SOCOTEC’s Dispute Resolution (DR) practice. The combination of these skills is unique in the industry and have resulted in a suite of proprietary and non-proprietary construction management tools and processes with time tested results. Irrespective of ground up or major remediation, SOCOTEC’s in-house expertise and project tools are to the client’s advantage in pursuit of planned schedule and cost objectives.
